Our society tells us we evolved by chance and nothing is certain. As a result, many people live their lives “trying to find the meaning of it all.” Others wonder what this world is coming to and what actually happens when this life is over? And others want to get close to God, but don’t know how.
Our Creator has given us an “instruction manual” to guide us through this life and into the next. It’s His Holy Word, the Bible. This life is simply a dressing room for eternity. Friendship Baptist Church is about people just like you whether you’re married, single, single again, with or without children, a college student, teenager, pre-teen or senior citizen. We want you to feel welcome and loved! Our church family supports each other through the good times as well as the hard times. Our goal is to be an encouragement to others as we’re passing through on our way to eternity. God’s plan is for people to either become a true Christian or a better one. Visiting a church for the very first time can be a bit nerve racking. “Where do I go? What do we wear? What will the services be like? Is there anything for the kids?” All of these questions are normal. Well, we want to put you at ease. Your first visit at Friendship Baptist will be refreshing, friendly and enjoyable for your whole family. Hopefully the following information will be helpful. WHAT TO EXPECT…
You can expect to feel “at home among friends” when you visit Friendship Baptist. Upon your arrival you will be welcomed by one of our greeters. They will be glad to answer any questions you may have, and then direct you to wherever you need to go. If you decide to visit our smaller group Bible classes at 10:00am, both you and your children will receive enjoyable teaching from one of our many gifted teachers in an age appropriate class.
During the 11:00 morning service your children will have a blast in our Children’s Church programs while you listen to wonderful music in the sanctuary, followed by a challenging message by one of our Pastor Staff. The service is about an hour in length. We have a great nursery staff for infants, walkers, and toddlers. We hope you will find our church to have a warm ‘family-like’ spirit and a place where you can cultivate a relationship with God by His grace.
